Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky Joan spent most of their time reading plays, going bowling and playing Gamecube. Since asking their mother for a purple stage in their backyard at the age of 4, Joan has made it their life’s goal to craft stories on stage.
In 2017 Joan started Cypress Productions LLC in hopes to bring new works to Lexington and in 2021 obtained a BFA in Acting from Columbia College Chicago.
Joan is currently living in Lexington with their partner Emma and their cats Marcy and Bubbles.
